A Florida airport gets renamed after President Donald Trump, making him the first sitting president to have an airport named after him. Trump’s allies across the country are continuing their efforts to erect statues, put up billboards and rename public works after him in Trump Tower.
The airport, previously known as Palm Beach International Airport for nearly five decades, was officially renamed for President Donald J. Trump.
President Trump was ecstatic about the news. He posted on Truth Social late Thursday night that the airport will soon be one of the best and most spectacular airports in the world.
Eric Trump Celebrates Airport Name Change
Donald Trump’s son, Eric Trump, was quick to praise the historic name change after hailing in the family jet plane, Trump Force One, a customized Boeing 757.
According to Fox News, Eric Trump was beaming as he declared it to be a “beautiful day” in Palm Beach after the decision to rename the airport in honor of President Donald J. Trump.
The airport, located near Mar-a-Lago, the Trump family’s home in Florida, was renamed by the Florida legislature and signed by Governor Ron DeSantis.

News of the name change at the airport caused mixed opinions among passengers.

But now they are going to use Trump’s face for it.

Several officials, including U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, attended an event in Tennessee on Thursday connected to a newly designated bridge carrying Trump’s name.

Bessent referred to Tennessee’s famous “Follow Me to Tennessee” slogan and noted that motorists travelling along Interstate 40 would now pass through a bridge named after Donald J. Trump.
